Rehearsal Times & Location

Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings during school terms, 7:20-9:20pm in the New Hall, at Shirley Community Primary School, Cambridge. (Unless stated otherwise - see Information for Orchestra Members for more detailed rehearsal schedule)

Members help to set up and clear away stands and chairs before and after rehearsals beginning from around 7:15pm, and should be tuned and ready to play by 7:30pm. Music is available to members for practice.

HOW TO GET THERE

The New Hall is located in the middle of the school, and it is accessible through the side entrance, inside the car park (NOT the interior footpath that leads to one of the doors overlooking Nuffield Road)

It is conveniently accessible by car, bus, bike and on foot. You will find more information about car parking and bus schedules below

By car

There are several car parking facilities at the school, one in front of the main entrance of the school, as shown below (Or through this Google Maps link: https://goo.gl/maps/LDGRBpMfLq9EyBRZ9 (Note that the gates will not open, you will need to walk into the school car park, through the side door leading to the New Hall)

By bus

Stagecoach Bus 2 stops here, which goes from Milton to Addenbrookes through the city centre.
